How to Clean a Commercial Ice Machine

Commercial ice machines are the workhorse of the beverage and food industry, keeping ingredients at optimal temperatures to ensure taste and freshness. However, it is easy to go wrong when cleaning, resulting in damage to the machine. Therefore, it is very important to clean and maintain the ice machine regularly.

Outside

(1) Wipe the ice machine casing with a clean soft cloth at least once a week. Wipe away grease and dust with a cloth dampened in a mild detergent.

(2) Clean and disinfect the panel water tank every day, soak the water tank cover and water tank in the solution for at least 3 minutes with the prepared solution or special cleaning solution, rinse thoroughly with water, and shake off excess water.

Inside

(1) Turn off the power. Open the top cover of the ice machine, take out the lid of the ice storage bucket, remove the panel, pull out the drain plug, and put the drain pipe into the waste water container.

(2) Use a neutral detergent to clean the interior of the storage box, wipe the inner surface of the ice storage bucket with a clean cloth dipped in a neutral detergent, and wipe off the detergent with a clean cloth.

(3) After soaking the solution with a clean sponge or rag, wipe the inner container and cover of the ice storage bucket clean.

(4) After rinsing thoroughly with running water, wipe off the solution thoroughly with a clean rag. Install the ice box lid and top cover.

 

Clean the condenser.

To prevent the ice machine condenser from clogging, the condenser should be cleaned regularly. A clogged condenser can interfere with ice production.
